* Bring a notepad and camera, as its easy to forget the ideas you get on such a busy day.
* Don’t forget your card and some cash to make the most of the plant sales and to buy refreshments and of course a bag to carry any purchases!
* Plan your route carefully.
* Check what’s on offer for each garden so you will be prepared for each site.
* Car share where possible and check parking restrictions, it is a Sunday so they will be different in many locations, and please be patient as the areas will be busy at certain times.
* Please don’t take cuttings or pick flowers, the gardens have been
generously opened by the hosts in aid of Poole In Bloom and many of them will be up for judging within the next few weeks.
* Toilets aren't available in any of the gardens, however the hosts will be able to point you in the direction of the nearest public conveniences.
* And finally, have a lovely day celebrating Poole In Blooms’ first Spring Open Gardens event!

Poole in Blooms inaugural Spring Open Gardens was a success!
We put together a series of 6 gardens around Poole, many of then winners from the Poole In Bloom competition over the last few years.
We gave all visitors a look at the gardens in the Spring to see them before the wonder of their summer beauty.
The spring plants and flowers were in their prime and though the gardens looked quite different everyone found valuable tips and ideas for their own gardens.
The garden creators and carers were available and assisted with answering visitors questions.

Each visitor purchased an Open Gardens Passport which they present ed
at each garden, where it was stamped.
It did not matter which order the gardens were visited but through earning stamps, each visitor earned a cream tea served in garden number 6.
Some of the gardens had a PLANT SALE and many bargains were had, with proceeds going to Poole In Bloom itself, a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers for the benefit of Poole.
